Welcome to the homepage for visceral, transplant, and thoracic surgery (VTT).

The well-being of our patients is at the forefront of our nursing practice.

The VTT outpatient clinic team, consisting of registered nurses (DGKP), medical administrative assistants, medical practice assistants, and secretarial staff, staffs the outpatient clinic around the clock throughout the entire year. Through close collaboration with the medical team led by Prof. Stefan Schneeberger, as well as effective cooperation with various additional departments and professional groups (radiology, nutritional counseling, psychosomatics), we achieve a holistic approach to ensure the best possible care for the patient.

In the areas of stoma and wound management, our nursing team is supported by nursing experts. Special training and continuous development in this field enable us to offer our patients competent care and advice. We also support the care of acute patients using the Manchester Triage System (MTS) with the three OSG questions.

Our goals:

• Recognizing and taking into account the individual needs, abilities, possibilities, and goals of patients in physical, psychological, and social terms.

• Victim protection is an essential part of our department.
