Pediatric and Adolescent Surgery

Children, adolescents, and their families are cared for and supported on the pediatric surgery ward by a multiprofessional team consisting of nursing staff, physicians, kindergarten teachers, service staff, social workers, psychologists, cleaning staff, and many others. In our work, we take into account the requirements of the EACH Charter and implement them accordingly.

Since we consider parents to be important partners in the treatment of their child, parents may visit their child at any time, and the admission of an accompanying person is free of charge up to the age of seven.

Visitors may come between 08:00 and 20:00, ideally after consulting with the parents.

Professional nursing care means for us:

  • alignment of nursing and care with the needs of children/adolescents and their families
  • to accompany children/adolescents and their families throughout the hospital stay and to provide them with the best possible nursing care, advice, guidance, and support using our knowledge and expertise
  • an open, appreciative, and timely communication with children/adolescents and their families
